Malayalam Friday: Mohanlal plays an undercover agent in 'Lokpal'

'Lokpal' revolves around Nandagopal who runs a small restaurant and is a social activist.
Kavya Madhavan is the lead actress opposite Mohanlal.
Mohanlal has been honoured with Padama Shree Award by the Government of India.
The songs of the film- 'Mizhiyithalil','Mayam Mayam', 'Hari Govinda' have become popular among the young audience.
Kavya Madhavan, the leading lady of the film, made her debut as a child artist in 'Pookkalam Varavayi'.
Mohanlal and writer Swamy have worked in 'Naduvazhikal' in the past. The actor-writer duo have also worked in 'Run Babby Run' which was released in 2012. 'Lokpal' is their third film together.
The film revolves around the theme of corruption, however, the makers insist that the movie is not overtly political.
The film was shot extensively in Kochi.
Mohanlal has acted in over 300 films in his career. The versatile actor will be seen in 8 different get ups in 'Lokpal'.
The music of the film is given by Ratheesh Vegha and the lyrics are written by Rafeeq Ahammed.
'Lokpal' premiere was held at the Kalabhavan theatre in Trivandrum on January 22, 2013.
Actor Mohanlal, writer SN Swamy and director Joshiy are working together after 22 years in this film.
Actors Krishna Kumar, Thalaivasal Vijay, Maniyanpilla Raju are also a part of the film.
The film was launched on September 10, 2012 in Kochi.
The movie is set to be released on January 31, 2013.
