His books are bestsellers and all of them have been made into feature films. As Chetan Bhagat's 'The 3 Mistakes Of My Life' gets a screen adaptation in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che!', we look back the other films that have been based on Bhagat's books.

Directed by former actor Atul Agnihotri, 'Hello' was based on Chetan Bhagat's second book 'One Night @ the Call Centre'.

Based on the lives of call centre employees, the film had an ensemble cast consisting of Gul Panag, Sharman Joshi, Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora, Sharad Saxena and Esha Kopikar.

When the promos of Rajkumar Hirani's '3 Idiots' came out, it was widely reported that the film was based on Bhagat's first novel '5 Point Someone'.

But the director of the film later clarified that the film was loosely based on the book and not the exact copy.

Starring Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, R Madhavn, Boman Irani and Kareena Kapoor, the film was based in an engineering college presumably IIT. The book was semi autobiographical as Bhagat is an IIT alumni.

Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che!' is perhaps one of the most awaited films of 2013. Starring relative new comers like Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkumar Yadav, Amit Sadh and Amrita Puri, the film has garnred good reviews even before its release.

Bhagat's fourth book '2 States' is also being made into a film. Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala have teamed up for the film which will feature Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
