Deepika Padukone as Sati, Sanjay Dutt as Nandi: Our dream cast for Karan Johar's 'Shuddhi'

Hrithik Roshan has been roped in to play Lord Shiva in the screen adaptation of 'Immortals of Meluha'. However, the director is still in two minds to rope in an actress for Sati's role in 'Shuddhi'. No matter what Karan Johar decides, we bring to you our very own wishlist of the actors who should play the characters of this book.
Deepika Padukone would be able to do justice to the role of Sati. The character is not just about good looks but Sati is a warrior who fights the Nagas along with Shiva. And on the other hand, Sati is also a good dancer. So, Deepika would be a good combination of the both.
John Abraham can fit into the shoes of Shiva's close friend Veerbhadra who is also the captain of Shiva's army. Known to be a brave soul, he can take on anyone who can cause Shiva harm. With a good body, John Abraham fits the bill.
Known for his acting skills, Anil Kapoor can play the role of a compassionate father Daksha in 'Shuddhi'. Anil would be able to pull off the role of a king with much ease.
Vidyut Jamwal on the other hand would be close to perfect for the role of the stern head of Mehulan army Parvateshwar. With his command over action and stunts, he would suit the role.
Manoj Bajpayee, on the other hand, can easily fit into the role of chief Meluhan scientist Brihaspati. An actor of the stature of Manoj can play the self-restrained character of Brihaspati.
Parineeti Chopra can play the role of an Kankhala. Known for intelligence, Kankhala easy takes on the strongest of men with her wit and Parineeti can justify the role.
Sanjay Dutt has already worked with Hrithik Roshan in 'Agneepath' and he can also be roped in 'Shuddhi' in the role of Shiva's friend Nandi. With his bulky body, he can easily suit the character.
Known for her acting prowess, Divya Dutta can add to the star cast in the role of Ayurvati. Being a versatile actress, she can easily play the role of a compassionate chief of Medicine.
