Oprah Winfrey tops the 10 most influential celebrities list for the second time

TV chat show host and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey topped Forbes magazine's Most Influential Celebrity of 2013 list for the second time in a row. Here is the list of top 10 influential celebrities of America.
She is not a new face. But the lady whose show has been "off-air" for the past two years still is considered as the most powerful celebrity of 2013. Oprah Winfrey topped the list even last year which makes her second year win even more special. According to Forbes magazine, 48 percent of people surveyed rated Winfrey as influential, down just one point from last year.
'Loncoln' director Steven Spielberg is a name to recon with in the film industry. The man who weaved magic for decades on the bi screen came second in the list.
Martin Scorsese's films are extremely powerful and leave a great impact on the audience's mind. The director who has made films like 'Taxi Driver', 'Goodfellas' and 'Gangs of New York', comes in the third spot.
When it comes to be infleuntial people clearly choose filmmakers. Amongst the four directors. Ron Howard, who has directed films like 'A beautiful Mind', 'Cinderella Man', 'Da Vinci Code', came fourth in the list.
Star Wars creator George Lucas was the fourth director to feature in the list. He was voted the fifth most influential celebrity in America.
Forbes noted that Winfrey's magic had rubbed off as well, with one of her protegees, TV physician Dr. Mehmet Oz, ranking sixth on the list.
Not too many women featured in the list, journalist, author and TV celebrity Barbara Walters featured seventh on the list.
The only musician on the list, U2 band's front man Bono came eight on the list of most influential celebrities of 2013. Apart from music, the singer is known for his philanthropic work and is known to have a strong opinion of the state's functioning.
One would thing that a financial guru would feature higher up on a list of most influential celebrities list. But author Suze Orman features on the ninth spot on the Forbes list.
Filmmaker and actor Clint Eastwood, who made headlines by addressing an empty chair at the 2012 Republican National Convention, rounded out the Top 10.
