Happy 30th Birthday: Trisha Krishnan continues to prove her mettle with each film

Trisha, who is a ruling name in Kollywood for more than a decade now, turns a year older today. With the damsel turning 30, we take a look at the best films by this beauty since the time she stepped into films.
Born on May 4, 1983, the actress was brought up in Chennai. Her ancestors belonged to the Palakkad region of Kerala.
Trisha completed schooling at Sacred Heart Matriculation School in Church Park, Chennai and later pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course at the Ethiraj College for Women (Chennai).
She ventured into modeling and appeared in several print and television commercials. In the year 1999, Trisha won the title of Miss Madras. The actor also won Miss India Beautiful Smile award in 2001.
She aspired to become a criminal psychologist initially, and resisted the thought of pursuing acting for a long time as she wanted to complete her studies first.
As fate had something else in store for her, Trisha was approached for a role in Tamil movie 'Lesa Lesa' by Priyadarshan, which marked a prolific beginning of her professional career in 2003.
The actor received Filmfare Award for Best Actress in the Telugu category for 2006 film 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana'. She was hugely appreciated for her role Siri in the film.
In 2007, Trisha again bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the film 'Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule'. The Telugu film had Venkatesh and Trisha Krishnan in the lead and Kota Srinivasa Rao and Sriram in supporting roles.
'Gautham Menon's 2010 Tamil flick 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa' fetched Trisha accolades from all quarters.
Trisha's portrayal of Sathya in 2012 Telugu film 'Dammu' showed her potential as an actor. Her fans made the film a superhit.
Priyadarshan's 'Khatta Meetha' (2010) marked her entry into Bollywood. Akshay Kumar was her hero in the film.
