Who would have known that the last scene of Aditya Chopra's 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' would be copied by other filmmakers in their films?
The scene where SRK pulls Kajol into the moving train at the end of the film became a one of the most memorable scenes of the film.
In fact Aditya Chopra, in his film 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' made his two central characters meet on a train. Remember how, right at the beginning, Raj pulls a hapless Simran inside Euro rail before they embark on a Europe trip?
Years later, Imtiaz Ali made train journey an important backdrop in his film 'Jab We Met'.
In the first scene itself has a friendly passnger helping Kareena to board a moving train. In the later part of the movie, Shahid is seen pulling Kareena inside Shimla's famous toy train.
Shah Rukh Khan's arch rival Salman Khan also replicated the same sequence in the film 'Bodyuguard'.
Although the film's heroine was Kareena Kapoor, Salman was seen pulling Hazel Keech, who plays Kareena's best friend in the film, inside a moving train.
In Ayan Mukherjee's latest film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', the lead characters Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) and Naina (Deepika Padukone) meet at the railway station for the first time.
The train on its way to Delhi, has Bunny convincing and pulling in a contemplative Naina inside the train as it starts leaving the station.
Rohit Shetty's latest film 'Chennai Express' is said to have reprised the same train sequence.
The film features SRK and Deepika Padukone and in its trailers, one can see SRK pulling in Deepika inside the moving train. Considering the films that have incorporated such a sequence in the past have done really well at the Box Office, would 'Chennai Express' be able to hit jackpot? We will have to wait and watch.
