The much-anticipated film 'Jobs' is expected to find several takers. But the question remains if actor Ashton Kutcher will be able to do justice to the role of Steve Jobs.
It was his striking resemblance with Steve Jobs that actor Ashton Kutcher was roped in to play the role of late Apple founder.
The film revolves around the time when Steve Jobs dropped put of Reed College (1971) till the time he was re-employed as CEO of Apple (1997).
The film has been directed by Joshua Michael Stern.
While speaking about co-star Ashton Kutcher, Josh Gad had said, "Ashton is going to blow a lot of people away. His performance was absolutely transformational. If he looked any more like Steve Jobs, I think it would just confuse a lot of people in thinking Steve Jobs never passed away. It's that uncanny".
The film was formerly named 'jOBS', but it was changed to 'Jobs'.
The movie is being released in India by PVR Pictures."Steve Jobs is regarded as a luminary in every sense of the word and we are pleased to bring his biopic to the Indian audiences. The film gives an insight into the life and times of the great innovator and entrepreneur that he was," said Kamal Gianchandani, President, PVR Pictures.
The film also stars Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, JK Simmons and Matthew Modine.
The film records his darkest days, achievements, aspirations, and passions to change the world and question the impossible.
'Jobs' was also selected as the closing film for the Sundance Film Festival.
Dermot Mulroney plays the role of investor and second CEO of Apple Compute Inc, Mike Markkula in the film.
The film has also been shot in some parts of India such as Delhi and Varanasi.
Ahna O'Reilly plays Ashton Kutcher's love interest in the film.
