TWO DAYS OF PANDEMONIUM

High Drama in J-K Assembly

TWO DAYS OF PANDEMONIUM: High drama was witnessed in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly for the second day in a row. On Monday, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti lost her cool and attacked the Speaker's seat and yanked off his mike, even as the debate over the Shopian murders boiled over in Kashmir Assembly.

On Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah offered to resign from the post after a senior PDP leader alleged that he was involved in last year's Srinagar sex scandal. The MLAs and Ministers physically restrained the Chief Minister from leaving the Assembly but an angry Abdullah walked out.
