Bihar Assembly witnessed a new low on July 21 last after members of the Opposition hurled a pair of sandals at the Speaker.
Those suspended by Speaker included 10 RJD MLAs, two from LJP, one each from the CPIM and CPI-ML and two independents. The MLAs were marshaled out of the House by the watch and ward staff.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had termed the incident as "unwarranted, unfortunate" and an "attempt to seek publicity."
Around 80 Bihar Opposition MLAs spent the night in the well of the two houses of the state legislature. The Opposition MLAs and MLCs said they would continue their dharna (sit-in protest) in both the Houses till Kumar resigns.
RJD, LJP and Congress MLAs came to blows with ruling of the ruling JD-U and BJP alliance and at on time the lawmakers threw furniture at each other and broke microphones on Tuesday.
