He rocked on screen, but stumbled in business. Controversies dogged him every now and then, yet this Bachchan never lost his shine. The Shahenshah of Bollywood, as Amitabh Bachchan is popularly known, bounced back with stateliness in 2000 just when many thought it was an end to the actor%u2019s glorious reign in the film industry. Bachchan made his film debut as one of the seven protagonists in Saat Hindustani in 1969 after he gave up his job as freight broker for a shipping firm. But it wasn%u2019t before 1973 that Amitabh%u2019s career took off.
