Shah Rukh Khan visits hurt Ra.One animator Charu in hospital
Shah Rukh Khan payed a visit to Charu Khandal at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
The young animator is battling for her life after an accident.
Shah Rukh Khan, who was busy shooting in London for Yash Raj's next untitled film, landed here Tuesday.
He came to visit Charu at the hospital and also met her family members.
He spent around 35 to 40 minutes in the hospital, but didn't speak to the press waiting outside.
Charu Khandal, who led the team that recently won the national award for special effects in Shah Rukh Khan's 'Ra.One', is battling for life, after an auto rickshaw in which she was travelling, was hit by a speeding car in suburban Oshiwara here, leaving her seriously injured, on March 25.
The mishap took place in the early hours of Sunday around 1 am, when the 28-year-old victim was returning home in the auto with her sister Ritu and friend Vikrant Goyal.
The young animator has suffered multiple fractures in her leg and spine besides grave injuries on her head after the black Honda City rammed into the auto rickshaw, which turned turtle near Sriji restaurant.
Ritu and Goyal also received severe injuries in the accident, police said.
The trio was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where Charu is battling for life and two others are undergoing treatment.
Manoj Gautam, who was behind the wheels of the car was arrested yesterday for rash and negligent driving. He was subsequently granted bail, police added.
