Phones and tablets launched in India last week

A spate of new phones and tablets were introduced in the Indian market in the last few days. Here is a list of those phones and tablets.

Powered by a 1 GHz processor, the phone has a 9.7-cm screen. It is a dual SIM phone that runs Android 2.3 OS, and has a 5 megapixel auto focus camera. It is priced at Rs 9490.

Priced at Rs 12,999, the phone features a 3.7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. It also sports a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash. Weighing 131.5g, the Nokia Lumia 610 offers 8 GB memory (the phone doesn't have a micro-SD slot) plus SkyDrive cloud storage. The phone has 256 MB RAM.

The phone features a 8.9-cm screen and a 5 megapixel camera. Priced at Rs 7,490, this dual SIM phone has a 800 MHz processor. The phone runs Android 2.3 OS.

Zync launched an Android 4.0 ICS-based tablet - the Zync Z-999 plus - in India. Priced at Rs 11,990, the tablet has a 7-inch LED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. This new tablet is an upgraded version of Zync's earlier Z-999 tablet. Powered by a 1.5 GHz single core ARM Cortex A8 processor, the Zync Z-999 has 512MB RAM.

The Micromax Ninja 2 A56 is a dual-SIM Android-powered offering from Micromax. It also includes AISHA, the voice recognition tool. Priced at Rs 5,999, the phone runs Android 2.3 OS, and has a 3.5-inch TFT LCD display with capacitive touchscreen.

It is priced at Rs 6,990. The tablet has a 7-inch (17.8 cm) capacitive 5-point touch screen, 1.2 GHz X-Burst processor, 3700 mAh battery (8 hours of video playback and 7 hours of surfing), and a 2 megapixel front camera.

The phone comes in two different colours - white and black. It has a 1.8-inch wide color screen display. It supports microSD Card up to 8GB. The handset comes with Li-ion 1000mAh battery. The phone is priced at Rs 1,349.

Expanding its its mTab range of tablets, Mercury introduced the new mTab Rio. Teh tablet is available for Rs 11,999. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of DDR3 RAM.

It is also a dual SIM phone. The phone is available for Rs 5790. It is engineered with an 800 MHz Processor. It features an 8.9-cm screen, and runs Android 2.3 OS.

The limited edition Nokia Lumia 800 Dark Knight Rises phone will have a laser etched Batman logo and will also include an exclusive app. The phone can be ordered from Nokia's India website and will be available at a price of Rs 24,999.
