Pranab Mukherjee wins Presidential election, supporters celebrate

The counting of votes for the Presidential election had begun at 11 am on Sunday July 22, 2012.
The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was confident of its candidate Pranab Mukherjee to win by a huge margin, with major political parties supporting him.
