First Look: Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year'

After 'My Name is Khan', Karan Johar returns to direction with 'Student Of The Year'. It will hit the screens on October 19, 2012.
Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan make their Bollywood debut with highly talked about film 'Student Of The Year'.
Alia is filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan's daughter.
Siddharth is filmmaker Punit Malhotra's brother. Punit has worked with Karan Johar in many films.
Director David Dhawan's younger son Varun also steps into Bollywood with SOTY.
The film revolves around the life of the three lead actors who study together at extremely affluent Saint Teresa School.
Rishi Kapoor plays the Dean of Saint Teresa School.
Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan will be seen competing for 'Student Of The Year' title in the film.
Karan Johar's special touch is visible in the trailer itself. It is undoubtedly the most stylish college film made in Bollywood so far.
From sports meet, noisy parties to chic clothes, Karan Johar has included everything in the film to attract youngsters.
Karan Johar is known to work with A-league actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and others. Then why did he chose newcomers for this film?
During the first look launch of the film Karan said, "The film feels different from any other film that I have directed as I have worked with movie stars who don't need hand-holding. With these three newcomers, it was a journey like nurturing and parenting them."
Alia Bhatt claims that she was always clear that she doesn't want to make her Bollywood debut with her father Mahesh Bhatt's film.
SOTY offer didn't come to her just like that. Alia had to give an audition as well as lose weight to grab the film.
