Sony Mobile Communications announced a new range of Xperia smartphones, along with the first Xperia Tablet from Sony Corporation at the consumer electronics show IFA 2012. The models include the Xperia Tablet S, Xperia V, Xperia J and Xperia T.
Xperia T will launch globally over the next few weeks. Xperia V and Xperia J will launch globally in calendar Q4 2012.
The Sony Xperia tablet S features a 9.4-inch HD display and a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It runs Android 4 operating system.
The Xperia tablet will retail in the US from September 7, costing $399 for a 16GB version and $599 for 64 GB.
The dust and water resistance in the Sony Xperia V smartphone ensures protection from the effects of immersion up to 1m for 30 minutes.
The Sony Xperia V sports a 13 megapixel camera with full HD video recording.
The Xperia V has a 4.3-inch HD Reality Display powered by the Mobile BRAVIA Engine. It runs Android ICS and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor.
The Sony Xperia J has a 4-inch FWVGA Display and a 5 megapixel rear camera. The phone will be available in Black, Gold, White and Pink colours.
The Xperia J has an internal phone storage of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB. The phone has 512 MB of RAM.
The Sony Xperia T has a 4.6-inch HD Reality Display powered by the Mobile BRAVIA Engine. It sports a 13 megapixel camera.
Available in Black, Silver and White colours, the Xperia T is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor.
