Bollywood Friday: Sridevi's 'English Vinglish' vs Mallika Sherawat's 'KLPD'

Bollywood actress is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood after 15 years with her film 'English Vinglish'.
Thanks to ad filmmaker Gauri Shinde, who convinced Sridevi to step under the arclights to play housewife Shashi in her directorial debut 'English Vinglish'.
The film revolves around a housewife Shashi and her struggle with 'English Vinglish'. She does not know English and is made to feel insecure by her family and society at large.
The film is a light-hearted yet touching journey of Shashi.
Circumstances make her determined to overcome her insecurity and master the language, teach the world a lesson by becoming a self-assured and confident woman.
Shot mostly in New York, the film captures the inherent struggle of many people all over the world with the English language.
She may be returning to the arclights after 15 years, but she doesn't want to label it as a comeback movie. She says that she doesn't feel that she has been away from the industry.
'English Vinglish' also features Adil Hussain, Priya Anand and French actor Mehdi Nebbou.

Vivek Oberoi and Mallika Sherawat starrer 'Kismet Love Paisa Dilli' (KLPD) will also hit the screens this week.
The movie has been directed by Sanjay Khanduri, who also directed 'Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local'.
The film is based in Delhi and Mallika claims, it addresses today's youth's issues.
Sanjay Khanduri has high expectations from the film and claims that it will be like a re-launch for Mallika and Vivek.
Noted Bollywood actor Ashutosh Rana will be seen playing a negative role in the film.
Songs like 'Appy Budday', 'Dhishkiyaon and 'Jugaad' from 'KLPD' have become very popular.
The film revolves around Vivek and Mallika's interesting encounters with people including encounters goons and police.
Vivek Oberoi's last Bollywood release was 'Rakht Charitra' (2010). He desperately needs a hit film now.
The same applies for Mallika Sherawat as well. Apart from her red carpet appearances and item numbers, she didn't do much in past two years.
