Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy S III Mini, a compact version of its flagship smartphone Galaxy S III.
The Galaxy S III Mini has a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED screen and a 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash and also a VGA front camera.
The phone is is powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), the latest version of Android.
The Samsung Galaxy S III Mini has a dual-core 1GHz processor and a 1,500 mAh battery.
The Galaxy S III Mini comes with Samsung's S Voice language recognition software.
It also includes the Smart Stay feature first seen on the S III, in which the phone's camera tracks the user's eyes and keeps the screen lit as long as the user is looking at it.
It also has the Direct Call feature that enables users to automatically dial a call by just lifting the phone to their ear; and Smart Alert that alerts users of missed calls or messages as soon as they pick up the phone.
The S Beam feature lets users files by tapping on another S Beam-enabled device including GALAXY S III or GALAXY Note II, even without a Wi-Fi or cellular signal.
