Shah Rukh Khan is known for his strong attachment with his family. He can't seem to stop talking about his two children Suhana and Aryan. The businessman, actor and showman is a house-proud, doting father. On his 47th birthday, we doff our hat to the ultimate family guy of Bollywood.

Shah Rukh had tweeted this image for his father Taj Mohammed Khan. Khan was very close to his parents who died young. He often tweets snippets about them when he misses their presence in his life.

Shah Rukh and Gauri's love story dates back to 1991 when Khan moved to Mumbai. He married Gauri, originally Chibber, in a traditional Hindu ceremony on October 25 of that year.
Khan celebrates two decades of married life and a thriving career in Bollywood. His film career has catapulted him to stardom few actors enjoy. He is Hindi cinema's 'King Khan', as christened by his fans.
The one other crucial member of his extended family is Karan Johar who has stood by him through many ups and downs and is Khan's confidante and brother in stature.
As India's most famous face abroad, Khan and his family often rendezvous with the rich and famous of international showbiz. In this picture the Khan family is seen posing with singer Shakira.
Aryan, who is 15 now, is an accomplished black belt in Taekwondo. The kids have grown up in the glare of footlights and camera bulbs. They accompany their parents to events, cricket matches and foreign vacations.
Shah Rukh tweeted this picture of him with Suhana and her friend. He is extremely close to his daughter and often regales his fans with anecdotes of his children.

Shah Rukh recently said on Twitter that he admires his wife's patience. Their partnership has been a long and steady one.
Shah Rukh and Gauri's romance spans his days in Delhi. The youngest of a Punjabi household, Gauri came from a family that would not have allowed her nuptial with a Muslim boy. But Shah Rukh's perseverance bore fruit and he enjoys one of the most solid marriages of Bollywood today.
Shah Rukh's son Aryan is studying at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. He also wants to send his daughter Suhana to the same school.
Gauri recently was seen accompanying her son to the Sevenoaks School in London. Suhana, who is 12 and growing up fast, is her father's constant companion when he isn't shooting.
Remember that ugly spat at the IPL grounds where Shah Rukh was seen arguing with a guard? He later apologised saying he was only trying to protect his children.
For a long time there was a buzz that Shah Rukh had okayed a film featuring his son Aryan. The producers have shown interest in casting Khan Jr in a story that deals with the relationship between a teenage son and his dad. We would definitely love to see that!
Shah Rukh is greatly connected to his fans whom he considers as his family. He is seen wishing them on Eid at his bungalow.
Shah Rukh Khan, who has been in the film industry for over two decades, has no friends in the showbiz and says his children are his "best friends".
He said on last Friendship Day: "I am realising this as they are getting older, they are my greatest friends. I realised this on Friendship Day and I really enjoy myself with them. I think my mental age is between 12 to 14 so it is nice to have two friends that I can ever have."
But if there is one habit his daughter absolutely deplores, it's his smoking. She has been persuading him for some time to give it up.
