Chennai International Film Festival promises to be bigger this year

The 10th Chennai International Film Festival's press meet was held at Hotel GRT Grand in Chennai lately. M Arun Kumar, Suhasini Manirathnam, Ramakrishnan, Nirupama Subramaniam, Poornima Bhagyaraj and others attended the event.
The Chennai International Film Festival is organised by ICAF.
It was started in the year 2003, since then the popularity of the film festival has grown up gradually, the participating films being from all over the world. The above picture is a still from french film 'Amour'.
The 10th CIFF has about 160 films from more then 45 countries, the country focus is on Turkey, Hungary and Poland. Director Lars Von Trier is seen in this picture.
The festival will showcase the best of the films from all over the world.
'The Gardener' is a film by Mohsen Makhmalbaf, an Iranian film director, writer, editor, and producer. It'll be screened at the film festival.
Director Kim Ki Duk's 'Pieta' will also be screened at the film festival.
The 10th film festival is gearing up to begin in December 13 until December 20. A still from Japanese drama, 'Like Someone In Love'.
The film festival will see the screening of 12 Tamil films this year.
CIFF is dedicated to presenting the best of international and Indian Panorama films. The above picture is a still from 'Melancholia'.
South Korean film 'Pieta' will also be screened at the festival.
'Arrohonam', 'Attakathi', 'Marina', 'Pizza' and 'Sattai' are some of the Tamil films, which will be screened at the eight day film festival.
