Bollywood fondly calls him the messiah of Indian cinema. And with his upcoming major venture 'Vishwaroopam', Kamal Haasan is really busy promoting the film. He recently released the film's music.
The Indian spy thriller written, directed and co-produced by actor Kamal Haasan has music by composer Shankar Ehsaan Loy in it.
Actor Pooja Kumar plays the role of Dr. Nirupama in it.
That film has Kamal Haasan himself featuring in the lead role.
Actor filmmaker, Kamal Haasan feels that Indian cinema has not one but several mentors who've inspired him over the years.
The makers planned the high-budget production to premiere at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
The film was shot with the same cast in both Hindi and Tamil.
'Vishwaroopam' reportedly has a budget of 95 crore.
The film also has ace director-producer Shekhar Kapur in a special appearance.
Haasan also maintains his firm decision to release 'Vishwaroopam' on Direct-To-Home (DTH) platform.
A special screening of 'Vishwaroopam' was arranged for the Hollywood based producer Barrie M. Osborne and make up artist Michael Westmore.
An American actress, producer, and model, Pooja Kumar was also crowned as Miss India USA.
Hassan was last seen in 2008 in the Tamil movie 'Dasavathaaram'.
As a child artist, Kamal Haasan's breakthrough into lead acting came with his role in the 1975 Tamil drama 'Apoorva Raagangal'.
The actor-director launches 'Vishwaroopam's CD at the launch.
'Vishwaroopam' was shot extensively overseas, in countries including the United States and Canada.
Actress Pooja Kumar was seen sporting a beautiful peach saree at the film's music launch.
Also, news has it 'Vishwaroopam' is the first Indian film, and second world film (after Red Tails) ever to be equipped with Auro 3D sound format.
Initially, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja was reported to compose the film's musical score. However, Kamal signed in the musical trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy to compose music.
The lead actors of the movie were seen posing at the audio launch.
