From 'Rockstar' to 'Trackstar': How Farhan Akhtar evolved as an actor

Farhan Akhtar has donned many hats during his stint in Bollywood. From director to actor to singer, Farhan has switched various roles smoothly.
Farhan made a switch from behind the camera to in front of the camera in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Rock On'.
The director did not just turn actor with 'Rock On', but also lent his voice to the songs.
His first stint as an actor was much appreciated by the audiences.
He later yet again switched gears with 'Don'. But, agreed to act in his sister Zoya's film 'Luck By Chance'.
Farhan, who was just seen taking up roles every now and then, venture into full time acting with 'Karthik Calling Karthik'.
'Karthik Calling Karthik' was a pyschological thriller which dealt with the subject of split personality.
Deepika Padukone and Farhan AKhtar's chemistry in the film was much appreciated in the film. Though, the film did not do well at the box-office.
'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' came as a breath of fresh air in Farhan Akhtar's acting career.
Farhan was applauded for pulling off a character like Imraan in the film.
Farhan tickled some funny bones with his acting prowess.
And, with his latest offering 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', Farhan has turned into a character actor.
To get into the skin of the character, Farhan not just worked on his body but he also trained himself for the role.
The actor will play the role of athlete Milkha Singh in the film.
The actor turns 39 on January 9.
