West Indies again took control with few quick wickets to reduce Bangladesh to 193 for 8 as Fidel Edwards dismissed Sohag Gazi for a nought.
Mahmudullah put up a late resistance against West Indies with a battling 72 and along with debutant Abul Hasan’s debut ton, he frustrated the Windies bowling attack.
Abul Hasan, became the first player in the history of Test cricket to score a century batting at No. 10 on debut. The 20-year-old reached the landmark in the final over of the first day's play off 105 deliveries.
Electing to bat in the second Test against West Indies Bangladesh lost opener Nizzamuddin early. Tamim Iqbal and Shahriar Nafees steadied the innings but failed to kick on as the latter was dismissed by Darren Sammy.
