- August 02, 2010: The baton moves to Bardhaman.
- August 01, 2010: On arrival from Agartala, Baton received by Baichung Bhutia. Captain Indian Football team, at Kolkata airport. Later, the relay started with 30 artists from Tanmay Bose troupe playing live music. He Governor MK Narayan made a special cover. Thereafter was the 9 km relay led by Bhaichung Bhutia along with 42 other baton bearers. Relay culminated at the historic Victoria Memorial. The evening function was held indoors with police band playing and trainees from Kolkata Police Training School displaying their karate skills. Estimated day’s crowd 5,000 with 150 physically holding the baton. Response enthusiastic. Some well known sporting icons that participated are Padamshree Saurav Ganguly, Padamshree PK Banerjee, Padamshree Chuni Goswami and Ms Jyotimoyee Sikdar. Actress Rituparna Ghosh added the glamour. Benagal is the sixteenth State to be visited by the baton. Events in Kolkata well organized.
- July 30, 2010: The baton moves to Agartala. Meanwhile the vehicle convoy moved from Patna to Panagarh Military Cantonment; will join up with the relay team in Kolkata.
- July 29, 2010: Mizoram, Send-off at Imphal by Secretary Sports. On arrival at Lengpui airport, Aizwal, received by Chief Secretary and Director Sports on the tarmac. Afternoon relay had 81 baton bearers including – Mr Zoliana Royte, Secretary Gen Mizoram Olympic Association, Mr R Biakliana – Boxing; Shri David Zodinpuia – Table Tennis; Smt Vanlalawmpuii – Weight Lifting; Smt Lalrampari – Women’s Hockey; Shri Samuel Lalrozama – Kick Boxing; three former Ministers of Sport, SP Aizwal and two officers from defence forces. The relay culminated into honourable CM receiving the baton. The cultural programme followed that included release of First Day cover by the CM. Estimated crowd during day – 6,000, with some 200 physically handling the baton.
