New York: Television writer and producer Don Brinkley, who created the CBS series Trapper John, M D, died here on Saturday. He was 91. He was the stepfather of supermodel and occasional actress Christie Brinkley. Don was also a significant contributor to another doctor-centered show of the 1970s, Medical Center, starring actor Chad Everett, reported the New York Daily News.
Born in the Bronx, Donald Alan Brinkley was a journalist for CBS Radio News and worked in television since the early days of the medium, penning episodes of Dick Tracy and The Cisco among other shows in the early 1950s. The Museum of Broadcasting in New York also honoured Brinkley with a career retrospective in 1988.
New Delhi: Taking forward the 'Satyamev Jayate' initiative, actor Aamir Khan called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday. He highlighted the plight of manual scavengers. After meeting the Prime Minister, Aamir said that the Prime Minister has assured him that he'll address the issue.
"I met the Prime Minister today on the manual scavenging issue. I requested that measures should be taken to end this practice, the PM has assured me that steps will be taken," Aamir said.

When I came back from the show, my body was swelled. I am resting now. I am not sad as everything happens for a reason," Archana told IANS.
When asked who is the stronger contender, she said: "I think Isha Sharvani will win the show, she is a lovely girl...dances so well...her body is flexible..."
