India's only hopes to win an Oscar this year were quashed after AR Rahman was voted out of the Oscar race. But, there's still an Indian connection--- a short film by director Gregg Halvey called Kavi about an Indian boy forced to work as a modern day slave, that's been nominated for an Oscar.
