Suhasini: Hello and welcome to World View with me, Suhasini Haidar tonight. The US says it's sorry and Pakistan allows its NATO trucks back into Afghanistan. The question: was the seven month long standoff worth it? We will be joined by CNN correspondent Jill Dougherty there in Washington, also joining us Dr Maria Sultana of the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute from Islamabad. Later in the show as we look at Syria and our special conference happening in Paris. Ole Solvang of the Human Rights Watch will join us to talk about their latest report on suspected torture inside Syria. But first after seven months the first trucks carrying NATO goods crossed over from Pakistan into Afghanistan this week. Pakistan restoring the supply lines after an apology from the US and a stand-off that has cost the US 700 million dollars in alternate routes. Jill Dougherty explains.
