New Delhi: The Tamil Nadu government has said it will file a contempt petition against Karnataka in the Supreme Court over its decision to halt the release of water from the Cauvery to the state. Karnataka on late Monday stopped releasing Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu, hours after the state informed the Supreme Court that it was in no position to continue the water flow from Monday night, a senior official said.
