Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has cracked the whip in the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), freezing the appointments of over 15,000 health personnel, including doctors, under the scheme. Health Minister Ahmad Hasan froze the appointments following complaints of anomalies in appointments and allegations of irregularities against Chief Medical Officers (CMO) in various districts.
