Returning after a gap of 25 years, Myanmar's opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi on Wednesday said she was saddened that India was drawn away from Myanmar in its 'most difficult days' and hoped it will stand by her country in achieving democracy. She also remembered Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru and said the difficulties she faced in her battle for democracy were quite similar to those the Indian leaders faced in their battle for independence.
