Ahmedabad: In a bid to avoid defection and dissent, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has retained most of the sitting MLAs in the first list of 84 candidates ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections. But seven sitting MLAs are not on the list and it remains to be seen if they have been dropped all together.
