Outrage over the Delhi gangrape has also highlighted the safety of women this festive season in Mumbai. Mumbai's new year celebrations have been marred in the past with incidents like the Juhu and Gateway molestation cases. So the city police has decided to take a variety of measures as 2012 ends.
