A 28-year-old software engineer in Pune was kidnapped, raped and murdered by four people on October 7, 2009. The next day her body was recovered from a forest. Though the city crime branch managed to arrest the four accused soon, one of the culprits managed to escape from police custody in 2011 and since then police haven't been able to arrest him.
