The death toll in the Maha Kumbh tragedy has climbed to 36, with most of the victims being women, even as Devesh Chaturvedi, Divisional Commissioner of Allahabad claimed, 'The snan part, which is the most challenging part of the Kumbh Mela, took place without any major incident, which shows we were prepared.'
