With emotions running high in Tamil Nadu over the issue of war crimes committed against Tamils in Sri Lanka, the UPA government is under tremendous pressure from its ally, the DMK. The DMK has said that unless the UPA supports the amended resolution by the US in the United Nations, it will withdraw its support from the government.
