Srinagar: Baramullah in Kashmir burnt for the third day on Wednesday with violent protests over a local woman's allegations of police harassment. The protests are being seen as a litmus test for the new Omar Abdullah government in the state, coming as it does close on the heels of the Shopian episode. The Chief Minister was quick to act this time round and he removed the CRPF to calm Kashmiris after the protests spread to Srinagar.
